Development of Economic Projects

The Beaver County Corporation for Economic Development induces or undertakes the development of the industrial sites and structures in strategic locations; operates financing programs; markets the services it offers, as well as those offered by other economic development service providers (whether private, public or non-profit) to local industry. Additionally, CED will induce or undertake other types of economic development projects that will have a significant community impact.

Private, Non-Profit Economic Development Agency

StartingGate is a private, nonprofit economic development agency initiated to aid business formation and expansion. StartingGate offers its programs and services free of charge to any type of business or potential entrepreneur in Beaver County. StartingGate is also recognized as an SBA Resource Center.

CCBC technology center

CCBC is a two-year Associate Degree-granting institution, offering customized training and specialized programs for business and industry. CCBC has launched its technology center, called B-TEC, to provide employee- and student- training necessary for on-the-job versatility. SCORE: Service Core of Retired Executives
Mentors to aspiring entrepreneurs

SCORE is a nonprofit association comprised of 12,400 volunteer business counselors throughout the U.S. and its territories. There are 389 SCORE chapters in urban, suburban, and rural communities. SCORE members are trained to serve as counselors, advisors, and mentors to aspiring entrepreneurs and business owners. These services are offered at no fee, as a community service.
